WILSON WANTS BUCCOS TO COMPETE FOR FIRST TIME IN 17 YEARS
The Post-Gazette reported on Friday the Jumpin Jack is not happy with Buccos' management.
Jack wishes to honor his contract and play through this upcoming season with the club regardless of Neal Huntington trying to send him to LA and Detroit. Those talks appear to have cooled and hopefully Jack will be in black-and-gold come opening day.
All Jumpin Jack asks is that the Buccos put some of their third-highest profit returns from 2008 to use and sign a player or two that has actually played in the majors...and isn't named LaRoche.
In a study made up for this story, 99% of Pittsburghers sided with Wilson. The 1% opposed were Adam and Andy's parents.
LANNY'S BEEN REPLACED
The Pirates chose Tim Neverett to attempt to replace Lanny Fratare as one of team's play-by-play men. Neverett comes form Colorado where he did play-by-play for the Rockies. Hey, at least he's used to watching terrible baseball.
